How do I know what filter my hot tub takes?
Measure from outside of end cap to outside of end cap (this is the hard plastic end of the filter). Do not include handles, thread at the bottom or any other parts other then just as shown in the image on the left. Your filter may have an opening on one or both ends.

A hot tub manufacturer number (Ex Hot Springs, American Whirlpool, Master Spas, etc) and each filter manufacturer (Ex Pleatco, Baleen, Filbur, etc) will have its own number for that filter.
Why does my hot tub have two filters?
Some hot tubs don’t include filters at every intake location; instead, they rely on just one or two filters to handle a disproportionate volume of water. The intakes without filters have suction fittings that pull water into the pump. That unfiltered water is then pushed back out through the jets.
Is it cheaper to leave a hot tub on all the time?
It’s much more economical to maintain your tub’s temperature rather than heating it from scratch each time. If you had to heat up your Hot Tub from cold each time you wanted to use it this would have a dramatic impact on your hot tub running costs.
Can I run my spa without a filter?
Don’t Run It Without the Filter Running the pump in a spa for too long without a filter can lead to clogged pump impellers and a fast decline in the water quality. So if you need a new filter, replace it as soon as possible. And in the meantime, only run the pump on low speed instead of turning it off.
