How do I load SmartBenefits?
SmartBenefits Online Enrollment Login to or create your SmarTrip account. Add the SmarTrip card you want to use for SmartBenefits or select a card that you’ve already added to your account and then click the card number. Click “Join SmartBenefits” and follow the prompts to submit an enrollment request.
Do smart benefits expire?
Once SmartBenefits® are allocated to the employee’s SmartBenefits® account, such funds are non-refundable and never expire as long as the fare technology possessed by the employee is still accepted for use by WMATA to pay fares. The employer may change the rollover election of any one or more employees at any time.
How do I get money back from my SmarTrip card?

Does Wmata money expire?
After your transit benefit has been loaded onto your SmarTrip card at the Passes/Farecards machine, it will not expire and it is not time sensitive.
