How long does it take for bona sealer to dry?
2-3 hours
Bona waterborne products dry in 2-3 hours under ideal conditions. If you are applying the same product then it will be okay to do so once dried. If you are switching to a different product (finishes) then it is recommended to wait overnight, lightly abrade, vacuum then tack before applying the next Bona finish.
Is Bona or Swiffer better?
The most significant differences between the Bona Hardwood Floor Spray Mop and the Swiffer WetJet are: Bona’s mop distributes cleaning solution more evenly than the Swiffer WetJet. Do you have to sand between coats of Bona Traffic HD?
INTERCOAT ABRASION: It is not necessary to abrade between Bona waterborne sealer and finish coats unless more than 48 hours has passed since the previous coat was applied. For smoothest results, abrade between all coats as necessary. When using solvent-based sealers, ALWAYS abrade before finish coats.
Does Bona mega need a sealer?
Mega still requires one of the Bona sealer/primer coats (DriFast, Amberseal, ClassicSeal, NaturalSeal, or NordicSeal) to be applied to the bare wood first, and two coats of Mega are applied over that. Allow at least four hours between coats; never apply Mega over a tacky first coat!
Can bona be used on unsealed wood floors?
Bona Cleaners are safe for your floor as long as your floor is sealed or finished, and unwaxed or unoiled. Surfaces should be sealed including the grout lines, unsealed stone or grout lines may cause staining.
